URI Men’s Basketball Lands First Commitment For Class of 2019 From Mekhi Long

Mekhi Long, a 6’7” forward from Virginia, announcing on Twitter Friday night his commitment to play for URI. It’s the first verbal landed by David Cox for his program for the Class of 2019. Long is a former teammate of incoming Rams freshman Tyrese Martin. Long chooses Rhode Island over offers from Virginia Tech, VCU and USF.
