ACI inmate on the run after walking away from outdoor job assignment

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — An inmate from minimum security at the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston walked away from his job assignment Wednesday.

According to court records 26-year-old Joshua Torres was convicted of carrying a pistol without a license.

He was also previously arrested for robbery.

According to Chief of Information and Public Relations J.R. Ventura, Torres walked away from a work assignment.

The matter is currently under investigation by the ACI’s Investigative Unit.
