Diocese of Providence to hold farewell mass for Archbishop Richard Henning

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Before he departs from Boston, the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul in Providence will bid farewell to Archbishop Richard Henning.

Henning was named the next archbishop of the Archdiocese of Boston back in August.

This evening, there will be a farewell mass, of which Henning will serve as principal celebrant and homilist.

That mass starts at 7 p.m., and will also be live-streamed on the church’s Youtube.

Henning is set to officially start on Oct. 31.
