Applebees fire in Cranston deemed accidental

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Applebees fire in Cranston last week was deemed to be accidental.

According to the Rhode Island State Fire Marshal, the cause of the fire was accidental while hood and ducts were being cleaned. 

The entire restaurant was a total loss.

The restaurant next to the Applebees, Bistro 22, has organized a fundraiser as the its been forced to close.

According to the GoFundMe, everyone there is out of a job.

So far, the fundraiser has raised over $2,000.
