Cranston man arrested for alleged child molestation

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment on Thursday charging a Cranston man with child molestation.

21-year-old Jhonatan Cadima Huayta is being charged with one count of first-degree child molestation and one count of simple assault.

Cadima allegedly committed the assault on or about Jan. 25 in the Town of Johnston.

The defendant is set to be arraigned on Nov. 13.
