Providence Children’s Museum launches voting program to teach civic engagement

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence Children’s Museum has introduced an innovative program to introduce young children to the voting process.

The program, running from now until Election Day, invites children to participate in a real voting experience at PCM’s Maker Studio.

Children will cast their ballots to decide which new stuffed animal should be added to the museum’s gift shop.

According to a release, children will choose between a chicken, a fox, and a frog, with the winning stuffed animal to be featured in PCM’s gift shop.

The election results will be announced on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
