Warwick police say woman was victim in train collision

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Warwick Police Department said an adult woman was the victim of a deadly train versus pedestrian collision that occurred on Nov. 2.

The department said that Cranston first responders were originally called to Wellington Avenue and Avery Road for the victim before learning that the northbound train hit the woman over the city line before the Pawtuxet River.

Amtrak said trains between Boston and Kingston were delayed during the investigation.
