UPDATE: 40 firefighters called to apartment fire in Pawtucket
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion after an apartment fire in Pawtucket on Friday.
The American Red Cross is working with the residents who were displaced.
The fire was reported just before 9 a.m. on Freight Street.
A total of 40 firefighters were called to the scene.
Two of the floors of the building were impacted by the fire.
Fire officials said there were hoarding conditions inside one of the apartments.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
There were no other reported injuries.
