Coventry Land Trust postpones Drag Story Hour after ‘response’

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — The Coventry Public Library said that the Coventry Land Trust’s Drag Story Hour event was postponed after an unspecified “response” from the community.

The event was set to be held at the Whipple Conservation Area on Nov. 9.

The library said it supports the Land Trust and its goals.

“The library supports the Land Trust and their goals of preserving Coventry’s open space and promoting its use by everyone in the community,” it said in a statement. “We regularly attend events and recommend books for all Town departments, agencies, and committees that make that request of us.”
