Mansfield brush fire results in injuries to 2 firefighters
MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Mansfield Fire Department said two firefighters were injured after a brush fire on Cabot Boulevard.
Firefighters responded around 2 p.m. to find the entire area between the street and a building were on fire.
The firefighters were injured when a branch fell from a tree and landed on them.
Both firefighters were transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center.
One suffered minor shoulder injuries and was discharged, while the other suffered soft tissue damage and a facial bone fracture and was transferred to Boston Medical Center for “further evaluation.”
