Trump supporters at Fairhaven rally say they hope for ‘unity’

FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts residents gathered Fairhaven for a Trump rally to celebrate their candidate’s win.
Despite being a historically Democratic state, with 61 percent of Massachusetts voters choosing Vice President Kamala Harris while 36 percent chose President-elect Donald Trump, a large amount of support for the Republican came from Bristol County.
“Somebody’s gonna lose, I’d like to see everybody unite, and I think we’ve done a very good job here,” organizer Andrew Carbalho said. “It’s a good group of people and I think eventually people are gonna know that when life gets better, the decision was right.”
Carbalho and other supporters at the rally said they want to plan future events to promote unity.
