Red Flag Warning Sunday
A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 9 am through 6 pm Sunday. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged as relative humidity will be low, and a gusty breeze will make brushfires quick to start, spread quickly, and be difficult to contain.
A cold airmass is large and in charge of our Southern New England weather tonight. Look for mostly clear skies with a low of around 25 overnight and a chilly start to Sunday. Although we start with sunshine Sunday, and high temps top in the fifties, we will build in clouds for the latter half of the day as a warm front comes through. As a result of the front, we have rain that will develop Sunday night and taper off through mid-morning on Veterans Day Monday. Monday, we will gradually clear, and high temps top out well into the 60s. A sunny stretch takes us through midweek, with cooler temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday closer to 50. Our next chance of rain looks to be Thursday into Thursday night. Friday finishes up the workweek with highs in the lower 50s and a blend of sun and clouds.
