Coventry police searching for armed car break-in suspects

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — The Coventry Police Department is investigating an incident of attempted robbery Thursday morning, according to the department.

A homeowner reported encountering three masked subjects going through vehicles.

One of the subjects pointed a gun at the homeowner after being confronted, and the three individuals fled the area in a silver vehicle.

Police were unable to locate the suspect vehicle in their investigation of the area, and no injuries were reported.

A be on the lookout was issued for the vehicle and the investigation into this matter is ongoing.
