Sentencing day for woman found guilty in 2022 fatal hit-and-run

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Today is sentencing day for a woman found guilty for helping her former boyfriend after a fatal hit-and-run back in 2022.

Alicia Peckham, 27, was charged with one count of aiding and abetting a criminal, one count of aiding and abetting the driver who failed to stop after knowingly being involved in a crash that resulted in death, one count of knowingly concealing the commission of a felony, and one count of obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.

Back in 2022, Peckham’s former boyfriend Aramis Segura, was driving under the influence on New Years on I-95 when he collided with Olivia Passaretti, who was driving her car.

The victim’s vehicle rolled into the west shoulder of the highway and landed on its roof after hitting a large tree.

Passaretti was pronounced dead on scene.

Segura would then flee the scene of the car, and call Peckham to come pick him up.

Segura pleaded no-contest to his charges, and will be sentenced in the new year.
