Police: 14-year-old shots fired suspect arrested with firearm in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — A 14-year-old was arrested in New Bedford yesterday in connection with a shots fired incident back in September.

Officials said on Tuesday November 12, detectives located a juvenile who was wanted in a connection with the recent shooting.

The shooting allegedly took place in early September at an apartment on Studley Street, which a round was fired into the floor.

The juvenile was taken into custody yesterday without incident.

During his arrest, he was found to have a Glock 17 handgun loaded with 13 rounds of ammunition.

Police said the gun was fitted with a magazine capable of holding up to 34 rounds.
