Lanes reopen on I-195 after a dump truck rollover

SWANSEA, Mass (WLNE) Both directions of I-195 were briefly shutdown following a crash around 7:30am.

Massachusetts State Police say a dump truck rolled over on on I-195 west in Swansea near exit 8. Swansea Fire personnel worked for 30-minutes to get the driver out of the truck. The accident resulted in serious injuries. The occupant of the dump truck was airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital.

Lanes have since reopened and MassDOT is working on repairing the guardrail.
