Fire in New Bedford sends 2 to hospital

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Fire Department said it responded to a structure fire at a three family home on Nov. 16.

Firefighters responded to South Second Street around 7 p.m. to find fire on the second floor.

The fire eventually extended through the roof before being knocked down.

The department said two people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the fire displaced eight adult residents.
