Drought relief on the way later this week

A soaking rain is finally in our forecast!

Before that, we have a pair of cool, sunny days in store for Tuesday and Wednesday. It will be a little breezy too, so elevated fire conditions remain.

A line of moderate to heavy rain arrives on Thursday morning, marking the first time in well over a month we are likely to pick up over .5″ of rain.

Showers will linger on Friday and to a lesser extend Saturday. Any of that rain will be lighter than what we see on Thursday, which is great for a drought situation.

Colder air will also be brought in by the upcoming storm, keeping daytime temperatures in the 40s through the start of the weekend.

Things should rebound a bit into the last week of November. Looking ahead, I do see one of two more rain opportunities on either side of Thanksgiving.
