Police say victim in Providence shooting is in critical condition

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said the victim in a shooting that occurred on Chad Brown Street on Nov. 20 is in “critical condition.”

Police closed down a portion of a nearby housing complex, with officers looking closely at a car, which had bullet holes and blood on the front seat, that crashed into a tree in front of a home.

We believe [the victim] was in the vehicle when he was shot, and the vehicle rolled across the court into a tree,” Providence Police Major David Lapatin said.

Police said they were looking for a suspect the night of the shooting.
