Cold air arrives after Thanksgiving soaker

Rain has begun across Southern New England, and will continue through the daylight hours of Thanksgiving before easing and ending by the early evening.

Expect a general total rainfall of around a half to three-quarters of an inch. As this system departs, colder air will begin to seep in for the foreseeable future.

Friday will be dry and blustery as sunshine mixes with variable clouds. Cold but dry weather follows for the weekend and into next week as meteorological winter begins (Dec. 1 – Feb 28).

Looking further ahead, no major storms are expected, although we may see a clipper-type Low with a little snow/rain towards the end of the week.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Geoff
