3 injured including a child after ‘cooking mishap’ causes fire in Lakeville

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Lakeville Fire Department said three people were injured after an accident during a holiday flambé Friday.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. with two of the injured parties being transported to the hospital.

The department said one person has serious injuries but was believed to be stable.

It added that there was no malice in the incident and proper precautions had been taken beforehand by the occupants of the house.
