Man pleads not guilty to illegal hunting in West Greenwich

WEST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — A man accused of allegedly setting illegal animal traps on private property in West Greenwich pleaded not guilty in court today.

Li Haiming, 28, is facing 13 misdemeanor charges, including hunting without a license.

Officers also confiscated over $2,000 worth of hunting equipment after a West Greenwich resident’s dog, alongside a deer, were caught in illegal snare traps found on private property.

Haiming pleaded not guilty, and was released on personal recognizance.

His next court date is early next year.
