Man to finally face judge in 2012 death of Coventry assisted living resident
COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — A man facing murder charges for the last 12 years is set to finally be arraigned today.
Domenic Petrarca was charged with felony assault in 2012 for using his fist and two other objects in a backyard smoking area here to attack a resident at The Summer Villa Assisted Living Center in Coventry.
Joseph Costa died from his injuries after the attack.
Coventry police said the attack on Costa was “vicious,” but never released the video to the public.
Previous attempts to arraign Petrarca have been rescheduled since 2013.
