Road in Fall River to be closed during daytime hours

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The City of Fall River said that sections of Oak Grove Avenue will be closed to traffic beginning on Dec. 9

The section of the road between Locust Street and New Boston Road, including intersecting streets, will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Northbound traffic will be closed during all hours in the area of work as well.

The city said the following detour will be in place:

• Go east on Locust Street to Eastern Avenue;
• Head left on Eastern Avenue northbound to New Boston Road;
• Take a left on New Boston Road to return to Oak Grove Avenue.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes and use caution when traveling through work areas.
