Crews respond to fire in West Greenwich

WEST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — West Greenwich firefighters were dispatched for a structure fire on Victory Highway this morning.

According to officials, first arriving companies found heavy fire on the second floor.

All residents were evacuated from the structure upon arrival.

Fire crews were able to quickly knock down but heavy structural and smoke damage remain.

Officials said Exeter and Western Coventry Departments were also dispatched for water supply.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
