Winter Winds Howling in Southern New England!

We may not have record-setting cold, but between or seasonal temperatures and the howling northwest wind, it’ll feel bitter cold throughout this Friday. Wind speeds will be between 10-20 mph, but gusts could get up above 35 mph this afternoon. Highs will hover right around freezing today, but the wind chill will have us feeling like it’s in the upper teens and 20s at times. At least it’s sunny, so you can throw the shades on with your layers!

Tonight will still be breezy, and lows will drop to near 20 by Saturday morning. That will lead to a mostly sunny, but still below-average Saturday. High temperatures will reach the mid 30s. Clouds increase Saturday evening, and overnight/very early Sunday morning we could see a few brief snow showers thanks to an area of low pressure to our north. The rest of the day will remain mostly cloudy, and high temperatures will get into the low 40s.

Monday begins a more unsettled pattern. High temperatures will be in the mid and upper 40s, but we’re looking at a few showers in the evening. Tuesday is in the upper 40s and clouds stick around, leading into a wet Wednesday.
