NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) – New Bedford Fire Department is responding to a tug boat fire near Popes Island.

According to New Bedford Fire Dispatch there are no reports of any injuries at this time.

Popes Island is between New Bedford and Fairhaven in the Acushnet River.
