Man gets stuck in chimney trying to evade police in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A man who was attempting to evade law enforcement in Fall River had to be extracted after he got stuck in a chimney.
According to Lieutenant Matthew Mendes, The Community Action & Suppression Team (CAST) was in the process of executing a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Canal Street.
In an attempt to evade investigators, the target of the search warrant allegedly jumped out of a window and tried to hide inside a chimney, but became stuck.
The Fall River Fire Department responded and had to break into the chimney to extract him.
He was transported to an area hospital for precautionary reasons.
It’s unclear the charges he’s facing at this time.
