Man stabbed in Providence after ‘altercation’

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said a 36-year-old male was stabbed on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. when police responded to the PC Mart on Douglas Avenue to find the victim with “multiple serious stab wounds.”

Police said that a preliminary investigation found the victim likely had an “altercation” with another person near Hawkins Street.

The incident is still under investigation.
