Fatal fire in Plainville
PLAINVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Plainville Fire Department said a fatal fire occurred on School Street Friday.
Firefighters responded to a house on fire around 3 p.m. that required a second alarm.
When firefighters made entry to the home they found a man who used a wheelchair and had not been able to escape from the house.
The man was the sole occupant and pronounced dead on the scene. There were no other injuries.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the fire was accidental.
