Nearly 600 URI students to graduate today

KINGSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – The University of Rhode Island will hold its 2024 Fall Commencement Ceremony today.
More than 550 undergraduate and graduate students will receive their diplomas at the Ryan Center on the Kingston Campus.
This year’s student speaker is Anna-Trang Truong. The Woonsocket native is graduating with a degree in management from the College of Business.

For Truong and many of her peers walking across the stage today will be a monumental moment. Especially for those who graduated high school in 2020, due to the pandemic many ceremonies were canceled.
Today’s ceremony will begin at 10am. URI will be live streaming the event here.
