Mild air for the midweek, but a bitter blast is on the way
We are dealing with an active jet stream this week, which will mean several quick hits of rain, with a possible wintry mix event Friday night into Saturday morning.
Round 1 of rain will move out early Tuesday morning and skies will clear, and we have a mostly sunny and mild day with highs in the 50s! It will be a little breezy as well.
After another sunny day Wednesday, clouds come back in at night and round 2 of rain will moves through into early Thursday before once again quickly clearing.
Temperatures begin to fall and we are back in the 30s Friday and Saturday. We will be watching the possibility of rain and snow showers in that timeframe.
Right now, some of the models have significantly backed off on things, but we will continue to monitor.
What is a certainty is that BITTER cold air plunges in for Sunday and Monday, highs in the 20s and overnight temps in the single digits!!
