Alleged shoplifter found hiding in car back seat

WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — A woman was arrested Thursday after allegedly shoplifting at a Target store on Cranberry Highway in Wareham, according to Wareham police.

The suspect, Amanda Manning, 37, of Middleboro, fled the store to an awaiting vehicle before police arrived on the scene.

Police located and pulled over the vehicle, finding Manning attempting to hide in the backseat.

Manning was found to have seven outstanding warrants in various courts and was placed into custody.

Manning was held without bail.
