Man accused of DUI with child in vehicle in Coventry

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — Coventry police said a man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence with a child in the vehicle. 

Marc Colvin was arrested and charged with a DUI with a child in the car under 13-years-old, and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

According to officials, on Dec. 7 around 7:40 p.m., a patrol officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Colvin’s vehicle.

After an on-scene investigation, Colvin was taken into custody for suspicion of a DUI. 

Police said Colvin appeared in court on Dec. 18 and pleaded not guilty, according to court records.

His next court date is Jan. 14.
