Crews respond to reported electrical fire, transformer issue in Westerly

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) — The Dunn’s Corner Fire Department responded to the Pond View Racquet Club for a report of an electrical fire this morning.

According to officials, after an investigation, the cause was isolated to a transformer issue.

Crews advised residents to exercise caution on the roadway, as the department would be on scene monitoring the situation.

The transformer was taken out of service.
