McKee to highlight new flexibilities for HealthSource RI following breach

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Governor Dan McKee will be joined by HealthSource Rhode Island Director Lindsay Lang to discuss how residents can enroll or stay connected to health coverage during HSRI’s open enrollment after the RIBridges data breach.

Back on Dec. 13, McKee announced that the personal information of thousands was compromised in a cybersecurity attack, and that anyone who has ever received or applied for health coverage or human service benefits through the state could be impacted.

The following programs were listed as being handled by the RIBridges system, but the list is not exhaustive:

  • Medicaid,
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP),
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF),
  • Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP),
  • Health coverage purchased through HealthSource RI,
  • Rhode Island Works (RIW),
  • Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS),
  • General Public Assistance (GPA) Program.

The latest updates about the RIBridges data breach can be found at CyberAlert.ri.gov.

The call center is available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., as well as Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

It can be reached at 833-918-6603.

McKee will hold a press conference today at 1:30 p.m. at the Rhode Island State House.
