Brockton firefighters extinguish car fire

BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Brockton Fire Department said that it responded to a car fire Saturday.

The fire occurred around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Warren Avenue and Forest Avenue near the Gulf gas station.

The owner told firefighters that they noticed smoke coming from the front of the car, and the fire was found to be in the engine compartment.

There were no injuries.

Pictures posted by the department showed heavy damage to the front of the car.
