Fall River police seize two illegal guns from city residence and vehicle

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River police seized two illegal firearms from a residence and vehicle on Ames Street during a follow-up investigation into a Sunday incident.

Officers executed a search warrant on the residence and respective vehicle, producing a Glock 19 from the vehicle console and an AR10 rifle from the residence.

Jonathan Spears, 33, was arrested and charged with multiple firearms counts, including two counts of possession of a large capacity firearm and three counts of possession of a large capacity feeding device.

The investigation was conducted by the Community Action and Suppression Team, the Patrol Bureau and department detectives.
