Providence police investigating body found at Hotel Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Police are investigating after the body of a deceased male was discovered at Hotel Providence Sunday afternoon, according to the Providence Police Department.

Police responded to the Mathewson Street hotel at approximately 3:23 p.m. after hotel staff notified them that a housekeeper had found a room in disarray, and then discovered the body in the bathroom.

Cause of death has not yet been determined and the incident remains under investigation.
