UPDATE: Smithfield police arrest breaking and entering suspect

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — Smithfield police have arrested a Pawtucket man for allegedly breaking into a home on Ridge Road Monday.

Dennis Dussault, 58, is charged with one count of breaking and entering of a dwelling when resident is on the premises.

The break-in occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. Monday, when the suspect was interrupted by a resident.

Dussault will appear in Kent County District court Tuesday afternoon.
