Fall River police arrest suspect in two armed robberies

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department announced the arrest of a suspect in two city armed robberies Wednesday.

Richard Archambault, 40, is charged with armed and masked robbery, possession of ammunition without FID and unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device.

Police conducted a search of Archambault’s East Main Street residence Tuesday night during the course of the investigation into the robberies of two businesses.

The Walgreens store on South Main Street and a Dunkin Donuts location on Globe Street were both recently robbed.

While executing their warrant, police discovered a replica firearm, an air pistol and ammunition.

Police said they also discovered “other evidence linking the suspect to the crimes.”
