Easton Police say 18-year-old from Brockton may have connection to shooting of 16-year-old

EASTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Easton Police Department said that a Brockton 18-year-old who was arrested by Massachusetts State Police may be connected to the shooting of a 16-year-old girl on Jan. 14.

The department said the 18-year-old was arrested for possession of a firearm.

In addition, police had seized two vehicles during their investigation of the shooting, as witnesses had also told police that a black sports utility vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The victim was shot in the face and suffered “severe life-threatening injuries.”

The incident occurred at the Avalon Complex on Robert Drive, and the victim was said to be in stable condition.
