CHARLESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Charlestown Ambulance Rescue Service said first responders rescued a deer stuck in a pond on Wednesday.
Crews, police, and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management were dispatched to Pasquiset Pond for reports of a deer in distress.
At the scene, one firefighter traveled across the icy pond to fetch the deer, and first responders then worked together to pull the deer out to the shore.
Officials said the deer was tired and exhausted
RIDEM stayed on scene to monitor the doe.
