Tracking snow and dangerous cold for next week
The wind is dying down a bit across the area this evening, but it will still be quite cold as we head into Thursday
Expect wake-up temps in the teens and afternoon highs in the 20s. Sunshine will give way to clouds in the afternoon as weak clipper passes through the Northeast.
There could be a passing flurry or snow shower early Thursday night before skies clear again into Friday.
Temperatures will actually go up this time, and we are back close to 40 on Friday. We will head into the mid-40s on Saturday, with rain expected later in the day.
A fast-moving storm arrives by Sunday evening, bringing a quick 1-3″ of snow across the area. This will lead to slippery conditions as we head into MLK Day.
A dangerous blast of Siberian air then builds in for the midweek, with sub-zero wind chills likely Tuesday and Wednesday!
