New Bedford Police investigating after shots-fired incident

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Police Department said it is investigating after a shots-fired incident on Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3 p.m., police responded to a ShotSpotter activation near Willow Street and Richmond Street.

At the scene, police said they found shell casings and damage to a nearby residence.

The New Bedford Police Department said there were no injuries and the accident is under investigation.
