Providence Police investigating early morning stabbing

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said it is investigating a stabbing that occurred early Sunday morning.

The department said the incident occurred on Broad Street where the victim was stabbed in the back of the right shoulder.

The suspect was a person known to the victim.

Police said the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
