Cranston Police investigating armed robbery at convenience store

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said that a robbery occurred at a convenience store on Warwick Avenue Thursday evening.

Police said the suspect walked into the Speedy Mart around 9 p.m., pointed a gun at the cashier, and and fled with an unknown amount of money.

Officers are still investigating the scene as of 10:30 p.m.
