NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Police Department said it arrested an adult and juvenile for alleged firearm possession.

19-year-old Damian Breton and the 17-year-old juvenile were charged with carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an FID card, and possession of a large-capacity firearm.

Police said detectives were performing surveillance in the area of Myrtle Street and Weld Street around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 23 when they “observed two males wearing ski masks with their hands in their sweatshirts.”
