Fall River police make arrests in case of beating, kidnapping of zip-tied victim

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Four arrests have been made in a January 14 home invasion case where a victim was zip-tied and severely beaten, according to Fall River police.

Angela Garcia, 20, Maria Reyna Rodezno Marin, 36, Ailton Lopes, 22, and Johnathan Winston, 43 were arrested in the Rocliffe Street incident.

Garcia, Marin and Lopes were taken into custody Friday by Fall River police Major Case Division personnel.

Winston was arrested Saturday by Fall River and Rockland police in Rockland, Mass.

All four suspects are charged with firearm-armed kidnapping, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (2 counts), conspiracy, firearm-armed & masked robbery, tampering with evidence, armed assault to murder and home invasion.

The incident occurred on January 14, when officers responded to the Rocliffe Street residence for a report of a male bleeding on the ground.

The victim was determined to have been severely assaulted and was found to be bound with zip-ties.

All four suspects will be arraigned in Fall River District Court Monday.
