Motorcycle operator thrown 40-50 feet in Raynham weekend crash

RAYNHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Raynham police and fire personnel responded to a serious motorcycle crash on January 25, according to a joint statement from both departments.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:18 p.m. Saturday on Route 44, when police say the crash between a Toyota Corolla and a Honda motorcycle took place.

A 21-year-old male from Taunton was found lying on the road suffering “multiple traumatic injuries” after being thrown 40-50 feet from the point of the crash.

He was alert and spoke to first responders.

The driver of the Toyota was uninjured and cooperative with officers.

The motorcyclist was taken to Boston Medical Center, and the Canton Fire Department’s field blood transfusion truck intercepted the ambulance.

No charges have been filed at this time and the incident remains under investigation by Raynham police.
